The University of the West Indies Press (UWI Press) is pleased to announce that three of its books have been honoured as award-winning finalists in the 2019 International Book Awards
- My Political Journey: Jamaica’s Sixth Prime Minister by P.J. Patterson is an Award-Winning Finalist in the Autobiography/Memoir category.
- Beryl McBurnie by Judy Raymond is an Award-Winning Finalist in the Biography category.
- Free: A Novel by Martin Mordecai is an Award-Winning Finalist in the Fiction: General category.
American Book Fest announced the winners and finalists of the 2019 International Book Awards (IBA) on June 11, 2019. Over 400 winners and finalists were announced in over 90 categories. Awards were presented for titles published in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Jeffrey Keen, president and CEO of American Book Fest, said this year’s contest yielded over 2,000 entries from authors and publishers around the world, which were then narrowed down to the final results.
