Ian Boxill is Lecturer in Research Methods in Sociology at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Kingston, Jamaica. Boxill has published numerous regional and international journals, and is the author of Ideology and Caribbean Integration (1993) and co-editor of Human Resource Management: A Caribbean Perspective (1995). His research interests include culture, development and epistemology.
Claudia Chambers is Research Psychologist and Managing Director of PSEARCH Associates, a private research company based in Jamaica. She has conducted numerous studies related to communication, food and nutrition, health, marketing, and other population and sociocultural issues over the past 15 years. Chambers has special skills in qualitative and participatory methods, which have also been regularly applied to survey questionnaire design.
Eleanor Wint is currently Senior Lecturer at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa. She was formerly Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Kingston, Jamaica, where her main focus as coordinator of the Social Work programme at that time was the development of innovative teaching skills and outreach programmes utilizing the discipline of social work.
