The first comprehensive analysis of housing conditions and State policies in three countries of the eastern Caribbean: Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The study focuses on the interrelationships between the poor, low-income housing, and the policies of the State. The author concludes that 'in the realm of State housing policy and provision, the efforts of low-income groups to house themselves have been almost totally neglected as a socio-cultural resource of major importance.
